High-definition Toyobo Printight® photopolymer plate. The polymer is mounted on a steel sheet, enhancing its printing properties. The steel base gives the plate the perfect consistency to withstand the pressure of intaglio presses, presses, and printing machines.
This polymer plate is suitable for reproducing halftone and line images and can be used for both intaglio and relief printing. It offers excellent reproduction capabilities, allowing for intricate details and tonal ranges. It is highly valued for creating photogravure matrices, printing the plate as if it were an intaglio engraving.
The photopolymer plates can be processed using autographic positives, digital positives, or inkjet, laser, or electronic film printing.
These photopolymer plates react to a specific range of ultraviolet light and are developed with water. They can be exposed using UV light equipment, similar to what is used in screen printing, flexography, and offset printing. While good results can be achieved with homemade exposure equipment, it is not recommended for photographic or demanding projects.
Water-soluble photopolymer plates offer a greener alternative to certain plastic procedures in traditional engraving, reducing the use of more contaminating or toxic products for the user.
Rittagraf stores all photopolymer plates in optimal conditions to preserve their properties. Each plate is delivered in an individual envelope to protect it from light.
