The 15 mm HPL plate, measuring 430x700 mm with a maximum engraving area of 400x450 mm, provides a durable, elegant, and easy-to-clean surface. The manual operation via a top roller crank, combined with a 1:17 reduction gear, ensures reliable force, making it ideal for various pressure-intensive techniques like photogravure.
The Cameron 40 is similar to the Premier 40 but has several substantial improvements that justify its price. Firstly, the drive is on the top roller rather than the bottom, enhancing grip and preventing skipping or slippage. Secondly, the 1:17 reduction gear (the Premier uses a 1:4) allows for much greater pressure with minimal effort. The pressure adjustment system is also more compact and reliable. Additionally, it features two steel pieces that reinforce the upper sides, adding to its robustness.
