Almost all prestigious schools and studios have at least one Ribes press. Anyone who has worked with one knows exactly what we’re talking about.
This press is ideal for printing linocuts, woodcuts, drypoint, monotypes, etchings, and other intaglio techniques that don't require excessive pressure, as well as additive or mixed media techniques. It is not recommended for high-pressure work, such as photogravure on polymer plates. For such techniques, we recommend using machines with reducers that allow for greater pressure, such as the Premier 40, or better yet, the Cameron 40.
