Rittagraf offers a specialized service in the manufacturing of high-quality polymer plates for intaglio printing. Our plates, made with Japanese Toyobo Printight polymers, are ideal for printing images with the same quality and detail as a traditional copperplate.
These plates have a steel base, and the polymer has a hardness of 65-70 shores to withstand the high pressures of the printing process using an intaglio press. We work closely with our clients to manage the images and define key details, ensuring satisfactory results.
These plates achieve optimal results when printed with traditional oil-based inks for copperplate engraving. For maintenance, we recommend cleaning them with vegetable-based cleaning oils and avoiding the use of water or alcohol.
In addition to reproducing photographic images, our plates are also used to create embossing matrices in techniques such as letterpress and pad printing. We offer standard options in 4 DIN sizes and can accommodate requests for custom sizes.
